Arundati, I rarely eat potatoes myself, but after discovering that recipe, I had to buy them!
Desisoccermom, no, I put myself on timer and took the photo. Isn't it supposed to be our own photo?

  6. Oh you evil food bloggers, tempting me with these events (that I am no good at) and these potato recipes and what not. Btw I have been meaning to ask you for a few months now, where exactly is the next chalk and chopsticks being hosted? I have gone round and round, but I can't find the beginning or the end.

  11. I found out about BWW a week ago, but couldn't find the software on my comp to convert a colour photo into black and white. Is the event over or does it run into next month as well? Your pic is so unique and different from previous BWW pics i have seen. Really, how do these ideas strike you and why am i never in their way :)

  12. Susan, wasn't it a watched pot never cooks? :) But I know what you mean - to me that happens with milk - doesn't boil as fast as I want it to, and when i look the other side for a second, it boils over!
La, it's a weekly event, please look for the details at Susan's blog, mentioned in the post. As for how I got in the way of the idea - I didn't have any beautiful vegetables or fruits with me to do cross-section shots, so I thought of this. You don't need software on your computer - if your camera has a Black & White mode, you can use that. Otherwise, you can use the sites Picnik or BeFunky on the Internet, you don't even need to become a member.
